Send out Thank you cards. Etiquette often says you have one year to send out thank you cards... We suggest no more than 3-6 months. Start the anticipation of your nuptuals with some fabulous stationary! With all the email and text messaging, the simplicity of paper invites is a nice tradition we continue to see today.

Spend some time thinking about what style of invitations you want (i.e. traditional, modern, classic, unique, or humorous). The design can often be a precursor to your wedding reception decor! There are many different options available when ordering invitations (i.e. Do-it-Yourself (DIY), Local Retail Stationer, Online and Custom Design.

DG TIP: Start collecting your guests' addresses as soon as possible as this can be one of the more challenging aspects of assembling your guest list.

DG TIP 2: Invitations are usually sent out 8-10 weeks before the wedding with the RSVP date being 2-4 weeks prior. If no Save-the-Date has been sent out, you may wish to send the invitations as early as 12 weeks prior.
