Last year, Principal Planner, Geneve McNally had the pleasure of planning the nuptials of Erin MacKinnon & Burke Telfer.

Both busy professionals, Erin and Burke knew right away that a planner was the perfect decision to orchestrate their wedding organization. Geneve took on their vision of a romantic, classic and elegant event with a fun and inviting atmosphere and transformed the Terminal City Club!

Their chic, yet playful wedding was achieved with a colour palette of peach, white and black to compliment the heritage, classic feel of the club's ballroom.

Wedding Wednesday: 101 Ways to Make an Eco Chic Wedding

With Bridal Swap less than a month away, DG is feeling extra inspired to provide green advice for our savvy brides-to-be! This week's Wedding Wednesday offers 101 ways to be eco chic on your big day, courtesy of Seattle Style...


1. Have your ceremony and reception at the same location.

2. Keep the wedding cake simple.

3. Use the linens that your reception site provides.

4. Wear a dress made of raw silk.

5. Use a reply postcard, rather than a note card that needs an envelope.

6. Purchase a simple wedding gown that you would wear again.

7. Create a wedding website, rather than using mailer inserts with your invitation.

8. Use the beautiful moss as a centerpiece in a lovely, shallow bowl.

9. Donate your wedding dress to a charity when the wedding is over.

This past Sunday, brides-to-be and their guests enjoyed an intimate boutique wedding show filled with fabulous fashions, flowers, decor and talented wedding and event professionals!

The perfect autumn day set the backdrop for another successful Brock House Wedding Show. The show brings brides-to-be and some of Vancouver's most esteemed wedding vendors together to mix and mingle over their upcoming special day!

Brides enjoyed the latest bridal fashion trends, hair-styling, brow shaping, makeup tips and more... all while enjoying delicious desserts and hors d'oeuvres, and sipping some bubbly!
