Selecting the important music...
As it can be a long process, it’s a good idea to start thinking about the important music needed for your wedding day well ahead of time.
Start with songs that are meaningful to you as a couple and then try looking through the collections from your favourite artists. Below is a list of events that usually require a song on the wedding day:
CEREMONY
- Processional-bridal party
- Processional-for the bride (if desired)
- Register Signing
- Recessional-wedding party and family
RECEPTION
- Bride & Groom Introduction
- Cake Cutting
- First Dance
- Father-Daughter; Mother-Son Dance
- Wedding Party Dance
- Bouquet Toss (if applicable)
- Garter Toss (if applicable)
- Last Dance
Keep in mind that you do not have to have a song for each of the events listed above. Decide which events you will have and then choose the songs accordingly.
